Fritza born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, 1977. Irízar creates artworks that test the elusive forces of value. She analyzes monetary exchange and the social creation of value, focusing both on essential and complex financial activities and related human emotions. She is also interested in the transformation of value through time and examines the aesthetics of economic tools like coins, gold, and other highly symbolic elements that help her speculate about equivalents between material, social, historical, and economic value in everyday life.
She has had solo exhibitions at Museo de Arte de Zapopan, Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros in Mexico City, and Museo de la Ciudad in Querétaro, and has been included in group exhibitions at Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo and Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, both in Mexico City, and Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation in Miami.
